It comes from white willow bark, taken aspirin?
The other day I bought some pills Mini-fine power and realized that were extracted from willow bark in them. I always thought that was what was aspirin.
The main ingredient of aspirin is a synthetic form mild salicylic acid derivative, called acetylsalicylic acid (ASA), and mass-produced under the name aspirin. However, aspirin is still known to irritate the stomach lining.White Willow bark is used for conditions that cause pain, swelling or fever, acute low back pain and fever * * * * pain FLU osteoarthritis of the joints * Pain * People take white willow bark instead of aspirin because it does not seem to be irritating to the gastric mucosa. It may be due to the salicin found naturally in white willow bark and becomes an acid after being absorbed by the stomach. The researchers also suggest that white willow bark is more effective than aspirin because of other active compounds that are in the cortex, but not drugs. Animal research in the University of Cairo has compared an extract of willow bark to the ASA and found that an extract of willow bark was as effective as aspirin in reducing inflammation, although the contents salicin was less than an equivalent dose of ASA.
