What kind of video camera is good for making pro style movies on a low budget?
I have a really good script that I wrote but I would like to try filming it myself.
I need a camera but dont know which kind to get; HDD, DVD, mini D, digital 8, vhs…
there are so many to choose from. I would like my movie to look as good as it can. any tips?
I think it’ll be tough to stay under 1000 bucks and get a piece of equipment that you’ll be really happy about.
That said I checked around and found a really rave review of the Panasonic Pro AG-DVC20 on amazon where it also only clocks in at a little over 1200 bucks.
The guy who reviewed it gave it 4/5 stars and ended his positive review with this:
“Basically, if you’re a director or videographer you’ll want a far more serious piece of equipment, but if you’re a writer or art director who just wants a firmer grasp of the shooting process this is the camera for you!”
